Life (education) update, September 2018

As some of you may be aware, I have been learning Italian for little over a year now. I will explain why I am learning this language & how it is going to help me. The course was cut short by 6 months and the tutor has offered to replace the 2nd part of the course we missed from this September on.

I choose to learn Italian in September 2017, I was struggling to find the motivation to learn something & Italian caught my eye. I had always wanted to learn another language after dropping french when I left school at 16. I didn’t want to re-learn French again from scratch so thought I would try something else.

I loved learning French in school but despised learning Welsh (even though I am Welsh), so I thought this could go either way. Luckily for me, I loved the classes and wanted to continue on and progress up the levels. Currently, I am still at beginner stage and enjoying learning the ins & outs of the language.

I hope to one day take a tour around Italy over various trips. I will go into this in more detail in another post. While I’m in Italy I also want to be able to have conversations with locals, in their language.

My adult learning course starts back up on the 24th of September and I am really excited. I am hoping by the end of this 15-week course I will be able to write & read more Italian & have a basic understanding.

Have you learnt another language?
Do you have any tips on learning a language?
What level are you at & how long did it take you to get there?
