    Writing Wednesdays #1

As I write this blog post, I am aware of how hard writing fiction is. I started my first venture into writing when I was in my early teens, creating poetry from real life experiences. Never did I show anyone what was on the 20+ pages of a4. This project however is different. I am aiming to write between 1 and 20 books: these include 2 adult novels, 1 young adult/teen book, and lastly a children’s book series of 5+ (150 pages each) books. It is a big commitment for me & hard work! For now, I will refer to the page already up on my blog (Previous work etc).…

MY THOUGHTS ON PLANT BASED DIETS

For the past year, in 2018, I have to confess I ate a lot more than I used to and it was not even healthy meals… too much red meat & not enough fresh food. Although I did start cooking for myself a lot more. When I wasn’t cooking, I was going out for meals with high fat & protein-rich foods, such as steak & beef burgers! Towards the end of 2018, I swapped chips for salad and that helped. This year I want my food goal to cut out or severely reduce my meat-eating down to about 20% or less. Yes, I plan to eat to continue eating meat…

HOW TO: Survive Christmas (while being Single!)

So it’s that time of year again where everyone is merry & jolly but what do you do when you are facing Christmas alone? I am a great believer in being single, as I am myself, but I know how lonely it can get especially on holiday times. This is my guide on “How To” survive the Christmas period. Go & see relatives (local or abroad) This is a no-brainer. If (and I hope you do) have relatives in the country or abroad make it your mission to go and see them, especially over the holiday period. You can reminisce on previous holidays and events where uncle Sam played the piano…

My cousin went to Rome – why I’m jealous

A few months ago I found out my favourite cousin went to Rome. I’m going to tell you why I got jealous & what I plan to do to change it. It’s not all bad, honest! When I found out that my cousin (unnamed) went to Rome, I got excited and started sending her cool phases in Italian that I thought would be useful. I thought she would tell me all about the tourist attractions and where to or not go! Although she was polite when we spoke next she didn’t tell me anything about her travels… I started to get jealous. Why couldn’t I go instead? I’m the one…

The Seasons: Summer, Spring, Fall & Winter.

The Autumn traditionally falls over the months of September to November. It is the lead up to the Winter, which is normally over the Christmas & New Year period but the weather in the UK is unpredictable – sometimes it isn’t what you expect at all…  Sometimes we have sunny weather in Autumn and sometimes it rains or snows. You have to be on your guard all year round and keep up with the weather reports too. I personally love to look at the snow but have trouble getting around in that weather. My favourite two seasons are definitely the more open seasons that are neither too hot or cold.…
